The word of the day is "gestalt." That great German word is about the overall impression we get from a large work - zooming out from the individual pieces to see the "30,000-foot view." Sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Through several chapters of the book of Revelation we're overwhelmed by event after event.
